About this work

Allegorical representation of the Haarlem City Maiden. She sits in the center with the coat of arms of Haarlem to her left and a lion to her right. Above her two putti with a laurel wreath. Along the sides a total of six coats of arms. Above a view of Haarlem and the city's motto (Vicit vim virtus). Below a four-line poem.
