Crusaders kneeling before the Emperor and the Pope receive their blessing and a sword from them. In the background, the conquest of the city of Damietta and the crossing of the harbor chain, 1219. This print was originally intended as part of a large print featuring a detailed map of Haarlem, surrounded by seven coats of arms, a profile of the city, views of notable Haarlem buildings, and depictions of important moments in Haarlem's history.
