About this work
Saint Elias has a vision. In the background is a scene with Dorotheus, his successor as patron saint of a nunnery, visible. Dorotheus lived near the monastery in a cell. The nuns were never allowed to enter the cell. Print from a series of 80 prints and a title print with hermits from the 2nd to the 6th century.
