About this work
Hagar, the servant of Sarah, sits under a tree by a river. She has fled because Sarah makes her life hard now that she is pregnant with Abraham's child. An angel sends her back to Abraham and promises her that she will have many descendants. Print from a series of six prints depicting the life story of the patriarch Abraham.
