About this work
In the foreground of the print stands the 'Ecce Homo', the scourged and crowned with a crown of thorns Christ. Christ stands on a raised platform on which Ecce Homo is written. He wears a garment and his hands are bound. In his right hand he holds a reed as scepter. He weeps. The print has a Latin inscription.
