About this work

Jupiter transforms Io, his beloved, into a white cow to hide her from Juno. Juno sits with her peacock on a cloud. Next to Jupiter sits his eagle on the ground. Juno requests the white cow as a gift, thereby continuing to guard against adultery. Print from a series of ten prints illustrating the love life of Jupiter.
