About this work

A statue of the goddess Ops, the wife of the god Saturn, placed in a niche. Ops is the Goddess of agriculture and fertility. In this representation she is confused with Cybele. Cybele as ruler over nature wears a crown in the form of a wall with towers. Cybele holds a key and a scepter in her hand, a lion stumbles around her legs. With a Latin inscription.
