About this work
A statue of Juno, seen from the back, placed in a niche. Next to her on the ground stands her peacock, in her hand she holds a pomegranate and a scepter with a cuckoo on it, the symbol for the cheated wife. As the wife of the supreme god Jupiter she wears a crown. Under the print a Latin verse.
