About this work
In a workshop tongues are sharpened. Two men empty a carrying basket with tongues into a large basket. A woman with a broom holds the basket. On the left a man lies on a stand of a grinding stone and sharpens a tongue. Another man turns the grinding stone. In the middle an anvil with tools, on which a tongue lies. In front of the workshop two women argue. Below the image a Latin verse by Franco Estius and a Dutch verse.
