About this work

First scene takes place in the interior of a bedroom. A mother helps her children with their morning toilet. She laces her daughter's dress. Her son puts on his stockings meanwhile. In the second scene a young woman talks with an older woman. The younger woman holds a pan in both hands. A small child stands in front of her. In the third scene an old man teaches a toddler to walk by means of a leash and a harness. Mother and father lure the child towards them.
