About this work
Christ sits as judge on the rainbow, his feet resting on the globe. He is surrounded by cherubim, saints and apostles. On earth people rise from their graves and are divided among the angels and the devils. The print has an ornamental border decorated with cherubim, trumpeting angels and devils. On the frame in the border a four-line inscription in Latin referring to the Last Judgment. Print from a series of eight with the Last Judgment and the seven works of mercy.
