About this work

Jonah walks the streets of Nineveh and predicts that God will destroy the city within forty days. The citizens of Nineveh show repentance. They kneel before Jonah and wear mourning clothes. On a balcony to the right the king of Nineveh hears Jonah's prediction. The print is part of a series on the history of Jonah.
