About this work

Abraham is about to sacrifice his son Isaac, but the hand of God holds him back. Isaac kneels on a pile of sticks. In the bushes the lamb can already be seen that is sacrificed instead of Isaac. At the bottom of the mountain two servants wait with a donkey.
