About this work
Oval scene of a company at a table, playing cards by the light of a single candle. In the middle sits a lady who is helped by a gentleman to determine her next move. Behind her stands a man who shows the woman's cards to the player opposite her with a mirror. On the right by the table stands a harpist. A Latin border inscription surrounds the scene.
