About this work

View in a banquet hall in the palace of the Ethiopian king where fighting takes place. In the middle stands Perseus showing the head of Medusa to the men who try to attack him with spears. The men turn to stone. The print originally belonged to liber 22 of the Atlas van Rome by Michiel Hinloopen (Schijnvoet book 10).
