About this work
Christ sits on a throne on a raised platform. Around the platform stands and kneels a crowd of Franciscans. Christ receives the ropes of Saint Francis handed to him by Francis who stands on clouds above Christ. Saint Francis is surrounded by putti and six Franciscan saints. In the lower margin the coats of arms of Nicolo Cicaglia and Pope Sixtus V.
