About this work
The body of Christ is taken down from the cross by John the Evangelist, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. Mary Magdalene kneels at the feet of Christ. Mary sits mourning kneeling next to the cross. Right three men opening the grave for Christ. Left a group of onlookers, possibly the Marys.
