About this work
Armida binds Rinaldo with a magical chain of leafy vines and flowers while he, bewitched by her, falls asleep on a small island. The lovers are surrounded by cupids, and a maid comes to Armida's aid in the abduction of Rinaldo. At the bottom of the margin, a verse in six lines of Latin.
