About this work
On Apollo's advice, the princess Psyche is carried to a mountain where she will be left alone. In front, children with torches and two musicians with trumpets walk. At the back, Psyche's grieving parents walk. To the right in the background lies the mountain. Italian text in two cartouches in the lower margin. Numbered twice in the lower left: 5.
