About this work

On the advice of Apollo, the king's daughter Psyche is carried to a mountain where she will be left alone. In front, children with torches and two musicians with trumpets walk. At the back, the mourning parents of Psyche walk. On the right in the background lies the mountain. Italian text in two cartouches in the lower margin. Numbered bottom left: 5 (twice).
