About this work

The prophet Ahijah sits by a tree next to a ruin. Around him are fragments of the prophecy of doom that he foretold to the wife of King Jeroboam. In the lower left corner, one of the sons of King Jeroboam is torn apart by dogs. In the background, one of the sons of King Jeroboam is eaten by birds of prey. The print has Latin text in the lower margin.
