About this work
Emperor Charles V and his brother Ferdinand I are driven in an open carriage by the crowd, after the liberation of Vienna from the Turks in 1529. On the left the soldiers show their booty, on the right captured Turks are walking. With a caption of four lines in Latin. This print is part of a series of eight prints, each depicting a triumph of Charles V.
