Charles V grants clemency to the Duke of Saxony in 1546. More likely this concerns John Frederick the Magnanimous, Elector of Saxony, defeated and granted clemency at the Battle of Mühlberg, 24 April 1547. The duke bows his head to Emperor Charles V. With a four-line Latin inscription. This print is part of a series of eight prints, each depicting a triumph of Charles V.
