About this work

Clothing: doublet and breeches, high lube collar and wide-falling knee breeches. Short haircut, pointed beard and mustache. Ihle p. 20, no. 50: Jacques de la Faille wears a cuirass that tapers vertically over the chest to a ridge, which explains the shape of the goose breast of those years. His breeches have become very wide and extend to the knee.
