About this work

River landscape with the depiction of the parable of the Good Samaritan. In the foreground, the Good Samaritan tends to the wounded traveler. Subsequently, the traveler is helped onto his horse and taken to the inn. In the background, the Levite and the priest who left the traveler to his fate. The print has an ornamental border with flowers, fish, and animals. It is part of a twenty-four-print series of landscapes with biblical, mythological scenes, and hunting scenes.
