About this work
Landscape with a cornfield. In the center, Christ tells the Pharisees that his apostles do not violate the Sabbath when they pluck ears of corn from the field to satisfy their hunger. In the background, the apostles are plucking ears of corn. The print has an ornamental border with flowers and animals. It is part of a twenty-four-print series of landscapes with biblical, mythological scenes, and hunting scenes.
