About this work
Saint Swietbertus is depicted as a bishop with a cope, mitre, cross, and his attribute - a star - in his right hand. The star appeared at his birth to let his mother know that Swietbertus would become an important person. With an explanatory Latin inscription. Print from a series of twelve prints with prelates and bishops of Utrecht by Cornelis and Frederick Bloemaert.
