About this work
The personification of Labor is pushed toward a bridge by Faith. By means of a rope tied around his waist, Labor is pulled further toward the bridge by Hope. On the bridge sit the personifications of Divine Justice, Piety, and Humility under the baldachin of the Holy Spirit. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a series on the rewards of human labor.
