About this work
Christ sits with four disciples in a boat and tells the parable of the sower to the crowd on the shore. On the right in the background, the sower sowing seed in the field. Below the scene, a Latin reference to the Biblical text in Matthew 14. This should, however, be Matthew 13:1. Below the Latin text, a handwritten French caption.
