About this work

A rich man has even larger barns built for his wealth and his grain. He sits at a table among his money. In the open chest lies a money bag. Below the depiction a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Luke 12:16 and to the continuation of the story: the rich man will die that night. Below the Latin text a handwritten French caption.
