Men with Various Professions

Four men practice different professions in a city. Bottom left an artist paints a winged monster with a woman's head and a lion's body. Under the monster stand the first two words of the Latin proverb: Pictoribus atque poetis quidlibet audendi semper fuit aequa potestas. Next to him a poet with a laurel wreath writes at a table.
