Portrait of Maurice standing almost full-face, half-length. Below the portrait a six-line Dutch inscription listing all the prince's titles. The prince holds his mantle, which hangs over his left shoulder, with his left hand. On his chest hangs the Order of the Garter on a ribbon. In the background a drapery that is gathered in the lower left.
