About this work

A maid from Cologne, wearing a hip-length wide cape that fits around the forehead. Gathered flat collar trimmed with lace strip. Tight bodice with bragoenen and tight sleeves on an ankle-length gathered skirt of light color decorated with two horizontal bands above the hem. Gathered white apron. Open shoes with block heels. Deep basket on the left arm.
