About this work

English lady with smooth hair combed back, which curls inward over the ears. On the right back of the head a feather is stuck in the hair. Dressed in a gown, which around the shoulders is edged with scalloped lace, over it a transparent neckcloth, which at the neck is closed with an ornament. In the waist a tied sash to which a pomander is attached.
