About this work

English lady of rank, a black fabric mask for the face and a bow in her hair. A large fur muff in the left hand. The outer garment is slightly lifted so that the edge of the undergarment is visible. Around the shoulders a wide collar, edged with lace, held together in the middle by a large bow.
