About this work
English woman, seen from the back. The hairstyle is composed of hair that is combed back from the forehead and tied together, frizzed curls on both sides of the face. From the neck to over the shoulders a neckcloth edged with a wide strip of scalloped lace. By lifting the gown the petticoat with lace hem is visible.
