About this work
Left: a scene based on the poem 'Der Minnesänger'. On a square in front of a statue sits a minnesinger with a harp, watched by men, women and children. Right: a scene based on the poem 'Das Lied vom braven Manne'. During a flood a brave farmer saves a family from drowning. He refuses the reward of the rich count who offers it.
