An elegantly dressed man with his hand resting on a family coat of arms. Behind him a younger man with his hat in his hand. In front of him on the ground lie objects referring to vanity and worldly things such as playing cards, tennis racket, dice, gloves, musical instruments such as a lute and a flute, and a mask.
