About this work

Paris must judge the three most beautiful goddesses of Olympus on their beauty: Juno (with the peacock), Venus (accompanied by Cupid), and Minerva (accompanied by an owl). Paris gives the golden apple of Eris to Venus. Mercury looks on. In the margin, a four-line inscription in two columns in Latin.
