About this work
Juno has demanded the cow (Io) from Jupiter and has the beast guarded by the hundred-eyed giant Argus. Mercury plays a shepherd's flute to lull the giant to sleep; Argus is dozing off. In the margin, a four-line caption in two columns in Latin.
