About this work
In the period in which this series originated 'kreupel' was a generic word to describe a physical impairment of the lower body. This series is social satire. A man with a cap on his head, leaning on a crutch, holds the hand of a woman, who leans on a stick. They are dressed as burghers. Numbered: 6.
