About this work

The Israelites meet the Moabite women. Dancing and feasting ensue, leading the Israelites to be seduced into pagan practices. In the background on the left, one of the Israelites takes a Midianite woman to his tent. Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, kills them with a spear.
