Mary sits under a tree and looks up. She supports the head of Christ, whose body lies on a rock beside her. Mary Magdalene kisses Christ's left hand and John the Evangelist stands behind her. In the foreground to the left, some instruments of the Passion. The scene is framed in an oval, engraved border.
