View of the Haarlemmer Gate and the associated bridge in Amsterdam, seen from outside the city towards the north. This Haarlemmer Gate designed by Hendrik de Keyser was built between 1615 and 1618. In the foreground wax is being bleached. On the bridge and on the bank various figures. On the left the mill De Westerbeer, also known as De Beer. Part of a print series of Amsterdam city gates.
