About this work
Top print: Apollo with a lyre and a group of musicians and singers on a podium, drawn by six music-playing ladies. Bottom print: an enclosed garden with Juno, Minerva and Venus, drawn by two people dressed as trees. These prints are part of a series of prints of triumphal chariots, mirror image copies of details from illustrations in a book about the festivities (including a tournament) in the ducal palace in Nancy on 14 February 1627.
