Punishments: hanging

On a clearing in a military camp many soldiers are gathered around a large tree to which 21 corpses hang and more executions by hanging will take place. One condemned person is just having the noose tied around him, a few others wait under the tree for their turn. On the right in the foreground a condemned person in conversation with a cleric.
