About this work
View of the Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, where two pageant wagons and many soldiers on foot and on horseback parade for spectators, who sit on oval-shaped tribunes. This procession took place during the carnival festivities 'Guerra d'Amore', which Cosimo II de' Medici gave in Florence in 1616. Below the image a line of Italian text.
