Sheet with 24 depictions from the story of Carolien and chimney sweep Jan. Two rejected suitors of the proud Carolien send her a chimney sweep whom they have richly dressed and provided with money. Carolien falls in love and marries the supposed nobleman, who the day after the wedding reveals what he really is. Chrysenia accepts her fate and dresses her husband according to her rank. Below each image a two-line verse. Numbered top right: No. 26 (struck through and corrected to 29, in pencil).
