About this work

Stair with on each step a couple representing one of the five senses. From left to right on five steps: "t'gesicht" (sight), "De smaec" (taste), "t' gevoel" (touch), "t' gehoor" (hearing) and "De reuck" (smell). Under the stair in three arches personifications of hope, faith, and love. Top left and top right a cartouche with text.
