About this work
A gentleman wearing a hat and a fur-lined cloak slipping down from his back, a sword at his left side, seen from the left, depicted twice: on the right as a line drawing, on the left more fully rendered with shading. This print is part of a series of 48 prints (50 including title page and dedication page) with diverse subjects (e.g. men and women in various poses, landscapes, buildings and festivities in Florence). These prints may have been intended as drawing examples.
